"If the world's been waiting breathlessly for another jam band, wait no longer. The buzz is that this is a band to see live..."
- The Nashua Telegraph
In an era where original artists are separated into specific categories of either singer-songwriters, jam bands, or pop/rock bands, One Fine Morning blurs the lines and creates a style that brings all three genres closer together. The homegrown Boston band infuses powerful energy and solid songcraft into their live shows, creating fresh and original jams that keep everything they touch full of life. Percussive acoustic guitar and tight rhythms, strong earthy vocals and energetic piano and horn solos create the texture of OFM, and the live show captures the bands best side.
OFM has already built a strong fanbase in New England, playing such famous venues as the Paradise Rock Club & the Avalon in Boston, and the Lion's Den & Knitting Factory in NYC. Their first studio album 'On My Way By' was released this past spring and has set the foundation for what will certainly be a long path for One Fine Morning.
One Fine Morning's sound and musical energy is formed from five very distinct musicians coming together from five different musical backgrounds and from around the country. A songwriter from outside NYC with a wild percussive acoustic guitar style and earthy vocals. A funk and groove bass player from New Hampshire. A blues pianist from Boston's North Shore. A jazz and R&B saxophonist from Alaska, and a funky drummer from Wisconsin. More amazing than the story of the musicians that make up OFM is the sound they create together. A blend of folk, funk, roots rock and world music, One Fine Morning creates a sound and style that is quickly becoming a heavy presence in the New England music scene.

"The Dave Matthews Band can't play Boston all the time, and One Fine Morning is here to fill the void. The local jam band plays upbeat, guitar-centered tunes about love and life, spiced up with saxophone and harmonica."

Jam bands usually live on the edge of the hit-and-miss nature of the style they practice, but Boston band One Fine Morning are more solid and more reliable than most. Starting out with an acoustic demo in 2005, they released an EP called “Rising” in 2006, and their debut full length “On My Way By” saw the light in 2007, a few months ago. The meandering feel of a jam can go a bit too far for a “regular audience” sometimes, but One Fine Morning achieve the very important goal of maintaining the audience’s attention through excellent musicianship, with a very cohesive line-up that has its highlight in Bryan Rotundo’s strong and emotional vocals, a sort of bridge between the more freeform parts and the more structured ones in the band’s music.
One Fine Morning’s reputation and fan-base, more than with records, has been built through their amazing performances. Their obvious dedication and the energy they transmit captivate anyone lucky to attend a One Fine Morning show, where you can’t help but be drawn into their funky, loose brand of acoustic rock. Although they’re still unsigned and self-releasing their material, it’s very likely that this situation won’t be maintained for very long.
